Clone one cut into an outdoor living-soil bed and an indoor room, and you may not be growing the same chemotype. In a paired study, outdoor flower leaned sesquiterpene and indoor flower carried more oxidized cannabinoids.
Limits worth saying out loud: light, soil and medium all changed together, so no single factor is proven. No yield per square foot or crop time was reported. And the standard California COA skips CBNA, so a routine panel may miss this entirely.
Same clone indoors vs outdoors: different terpene class. Outdoor sesquiterpenes up; indoor more CBN/CBNA. Classifier AUC 0.995 (5 markers). Zandkarimi et al., Molecules, 2023.

Your VPD setpoint is probably the air's number, not the leaf's. At 20 °C and 60% RH the dashboard says 0.94 kPa. A leaf running 2 °C warm is sitting at 1.24 kPa. Same room.
What I'd do: label every setpoint VPD air or VPD leaf. If it's leaf, shoot upper and lower leaves, because they won't read the same. Then check again after the CO₂ comes on.
Most VPD dashboards use air temp, not leaf temp. At 20 °C and 60% RH: 0.94 kPa VPDair vs 1.24 kPa with a leaf 2 °C warmer (Kubota, e-GRO Edible Alert, 2023).

Your S1 pack is not one genotype. Hemp self-siblings showed 58% dry-weight CV vs 22% and 32% for two outcrosses (Kurtz et al., HortScience, 2020).
