This might sound like I’m questioning God — but I’m not. Who am I to do that? I’m just putting this out there in case someone else feels the same way… and maybe can explain it better than I can.
The question is simple:
What is really my purpose in this country? Why Nigeria of all places?
Since I was a child, I was told, “God has a plan for everyone.”
But why place someone in a country that constantly tests their sanity? A country that makes you angry just by existing?
Tell me — what exactly are we meant to proudly boast about?
The government?
The economy?
The politics?
Just yesterday, someone — a complete riff-raff, openly threatened a private citizen over politics. Politics. In 2026. In broad daylight. No shame. No consequences.
And I’m here wondering… why am I in an era of such aggressive, wicked politics? What exactly is my assignment here? What change am I realistically supposed to make in a system that feels this broken?
Is the purpose to endure?
To fight?
To leave?
To stay and fix what seems unfixable?
There’s so much more I want to say, but the words are failing me. I’m drained.
If you understand even a glimpse of what I’m trying to say, talk to me. Maybe you can articulate it better. Maybe there’s an angle I’m not seeing.
Because right now, I’m just tired of trying to find meaning in all this chaos.
