You don’t need everyone to commit to the cause for you to succeed. Often a willingness to contribute is enough. Having some comply by just doing what they are told is fine for some roles and tasks – assuming they have a positive attitude.

When I set agendas for meetings over 2 hours, I build in 30-minute breaks to give people time to take a breather, clear their heads, get non-meeting stuff done so they don’t have to multi-task, & engage in side conversations to play with the ideas floating around in the meeting.
