BREAKING: For the first time in history, a space launch from continental Europe has successfully reached orbit.
@isaraerospace, the German space company, launched its Spectrum rocket from Andøya Spaceport in Norway today.
@Landeur British army veteran with a Russian keyboard MacBook, he ordered specifically because he wants to learn russian.
This is some bullshit cover up.
@bmay Honestly, what jobs?We have a datacenter in our city, whilst crucial for certain businesses, mostly huge companies owned by investment funds abroad.
It was built by a few chosen contractors for a one off price, using tech made abroad. Now run by 10 people at most.
We should see more Police Bodycams than we do clips from frauditors who point their phones at coppers at protests etc. Here's an example from GMP, a single crewed unarmed officer, suspect detained, and a big knife recovered. Well done that man!
@commontruth_ This is not gonna down well with the random van of Irish travellers that show up each year and offer cash in hand jobs for something like 100 quid an hour. 🤣
@BenKentish That is the worst comparison I've seen.
The UK doesn't have the power infrastructure to support datacenters, it's lagging hugely behind and by the time these get stood up, they will be obsolete.
