Examples as to how they bitchified the Avatar State.
1.) Tagah twirls his magic plot staff and gives Aang's clothes little rips because of the force of the rock and air.
Meanwhile Aang slams Ozai with jet stream winds capable of stripping A MOUNTAIN APART.
2.) Aang turns on these cute little hands and feet fireworks to escape a giant mountain rock thing THAT HE FAILS TO OUT RUN WITH THE AVATAR STATE. TAGAH SINGLE-HANDEDLY stops it from falling on them.
Meanwhile, multiple instances of Aang casually tearing giant rocks and mountains apart controlling MULTIPLE ELEMENTS AT ONCE.
3.) Aang charges in like a Korra (dipshit) with a single element while Tagah twiddles his widdle fingers and fucking kills him in one go while Aang was looking straight at him.
Meanwhile, Aang counters and DISMANTLES Ozai's powered up fire blasts with multiple elements and is in complete control.

"So you want a show/movie with no stakes? You don't want good writing? If the AS is too powerful, there's no conflict! It was way too broken."
That's not what I'm saying. I want a show/movie with stakes and good writing. Good writing is CONSISTENT with what came BEFORE it. If you set up the AS as this incredibly powerful state that THREE FIRELORDS FEARED FOR 100 YEARS, then that is how it must remain.
In the OG, Azula baits Aang into the AS and shoots his ass from BEHIND because she's smart and understands that you CANNOT fight it head on. Azula beat the AS not because she was stronger but because she was CLEVER.
"But Tagah has his magic plot stick that no one from the 4 air temples that Aang visited before being frozen knew or spoke about. It belonged to an Avatar! It powers him up significantly!"
Even with his dumb ass plot stick was he doing anything remotely capable of what Aang did when he fought Ozai.
The Avatar in the Avatar State is supposed to be a Demi-God. You aren't SUPPOSED to be able to fight it head on. Which is why Ozai lost and could barely fight back. He controlled MULTIPLE elements at once, was in complete control and completely overwhelmed him.
Ozai was supped by Sozin's commit and still lost. Tagah was supped up by some magic plot stick and some how won because the only way the writers know how to make a conflict is to take the thing that was once impossible to fight head on, suddenly lame and unable to do anything.
Good writing does not mean to take cool thing and make it less cool because otherwise you don't have a story. Good writing is to take cool thing and write around it while keeping it as cool (or cooler) as it always was.
Hope you enjoyed my rant.
because TLOK ruined the Avatar state as a concept and turned it from a near unstoppable state of being to a shitty powerup. This movie's real purpose was to humiliate Aang because the creators have contempt for the original show since its clear the writing team carried hard.
Japan literally has
-lower suicide rates than France
-SIGNIFICANTLY lower rape rate than France
-SIGNIFICANTLY lower pedophilia rates than France
-France made Cuties
Disrespectfully, fuck off
sex is a very intimate and sacred act.
your body is a temple and you shouldn't be sharing it with someone who thinks Goku would lose to saitama this evening
She did the complete opposite in real life
Like literally, her faith had her refuse to renounce
Unironically you say in the comments they “humanized her” when the actual, living human being did the exact opposite
Ghouls
The demons in Frieren are predators. They look like humans as a way to make them lower their guard. They are similar to mimics. They learned human words and speech to make it easier to eat humans. They aren’t pure evil because they don’t understand the concept or morality.
The funniest thing about The Legend of Korra defenders is that they almost never defend the main cast, because everyone knows the characters are largely terrible. Instead, they pivot to the most superficial aspects of the series, particularly its villains, who admittedly have interesting premises and compelling story beats right up until the point where the showrunners have to execute an overarching narrative that explains why they're actually wrong. And that's where the writing consistently falls apart, because Korra herself often has no coherent ideological or philosophical basis for disagreeing with them. The villains are ultimately proven wrong not through any meaningful confrontation with their ideas, but because the writers make them increasingly extreme until defeating them becomes a moral necessity. This GIO slop content of the day.
>Seja Leon Belmont, patriarca do clã Belmont
>Tenha sua esposa sequestrada por um vampiro
>Igreja nega a ajudar
>Vá sozinho resgatar ela
>Quando finalmente a resgata descobre que ela foi mordida e irá se transformar
>Ela voluntariamente se sacrifica para criar o vampire killer+
In today's episode of the Apothecary Diaries, Maomao threatens to sell a child into prostitution when her family can't pay for medicine.
Maomoa specifically says of the mute child "she's younger, they're easier to train" and "men prefer them silent".
Spare me your fake outrage.
its because the movie is trash that wrote Aang out of character. Aang had already come to terms long time ago in the OG series that his people were gone but this movie made him obsessed with bringing them back because the writers are hacks that can't write genuine conflict.
A prime example of why academics have been losing their credibility for years.
He assumes that it's *only* because of bigotry that people are saying that 2026 Africa can't defeat 1939 Europe.
He cites quantities of troops and the performance specifications of modern weapons.
Not once does he mention *how Africa is going to move any of it into Europe.*
Not once does he mention *how the North Africans are going to overcome the challenges of transporting Heavy Tanks through Southern Europe's mountains or the fact that the bridges of the era can't even handle a 40 ton tank let alone a 66 ton Abrams.*
Nor does he address the impact of Africa being cut off from European food drops, American manufacturing, high-grade aviation fuel, or GPS satellites.
No, it's just "If you don't think the Arabs and Blacks can win with (a limited supply of) modern tech, you're a bigot!"
