Let me send a warning to the Attorney General that the ravening clouds shall not long be victorious. They shall not long possess the sky—Be careful, 2028 you will be in opposition and if you don’t stop now, you’ll go and meet Wontumi there. He’ll be out and you’ll go in.
—Effutu MP, Hon. Alexander Afenyo sends a stern warning to the Attorney General over what he describes as the political persecution of NPP members.
Social media can make you do crazy things and later regret that’s the same thing happening to the lookalike president Robest, he’s accusing Ghana police and Ajagurajah for k!lling the late Daddy Lumba and Omane Boamah eiiii this dude don’t want to enjoy his freedom anymore 😭💔
Chairman Wontumi reportedly cried on his first day at Nsawam after seeing his bunk bed. He allegedly refused to eat, couldn’t sleep, and requested a transfer to a hospital due to his diabetes. This is sad. Free Wontumi.
🚨HE SAID IT BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN.
Before the forms. Before the petitions. Before he was the one facing the disciplinary committee.
He stood in front of party executives and said unity is nothing without fairness and justice. Then he got specific: MPs and executives endorsed one candidate openly and nothing happened. Others endorsed the other side and got referred, called, threatened. He named Kumasi.
He also warned about the insults nobody in the party bothered to stop. His words: it's no good, it won't help us.
The party moved on.
Now the arrests aren't internal. TikTokers, bloggers, commentators, picked up over what they said. The Minority calls it persecution. Government says the law is catching real threats. Some of both is true.
But the principle he named is the only thing that protects anybody when power changes hands.
"Punish them, not us" isn't a standard. It's a weapon. And weapons change hands.
He said it when he had nothing to gain from saying it. That's the receipt.
No party. No fear.
