‘Teachers need to do this’ seems to be the answer to every problem in society. Every week there’s a new headline about a new policy or directive brought on because ppl have expressed concern about something.
Teachers to be - parents, social workers, data analysts, police etc.
Until we start switching shifting significant responsibility and accountability back onto society, teachers will continue to be under unsustainable pressure.
@FixingEducation I survived HS on Honey Buns & Mountain Dew for breakfast before play practice and chocolate shakes & salad at lunch. Hot Cheetos & Takis aren't going to kill them. When their brain finishes developing, they'll make better choices.
