@PassportIRL So if your system actually takes longer than 6 months through no fault of the applicant, all additional documents that have been requested have been sent after 4 months and you twiddle your thumbs for two months you just cancel the application?

@PassportIRL can someone tell me how long does a passport application remain active? Does it expire after 6 months if it has not been fully completed.

@NiallSF Never mind in the north a passport office in Dublin that works first would be a good idea. Had my application cancelled because they couldn’t contact me by email to resubmit a photograph, they contacted me by email to tell me this and that was after 8 months.
