DUBLIN CITY CENTRE 💔
An innocent little mule was found tied to a fence, hidden behind flats in the heart of Dublin City. No water. No shelter. No care.
He just stood there… confused, alone, and completely dependent on someone who failed him.
Thanks to a kind member of the public who spoke up, and the quick response from the An Garda Síochána, this little boy is now safe.
But the question is, how many others are suffering unseen?
This is not okay.
This shouldn’t be normal.
And this cannot continue.
Mules are intelligent, emotional animals. They feel fear, loneliness, and pain just like any other. A busy city is no place for them 💔💔
We are doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
💔 Please help us continue rescuing animals like this poor little boy
💔 Please help us give them the care, safety, and love they deserve

Today, our Co-Founder, Chair, and Head of Animal Welfare Advocacy were in Leinster House meeting with Shay Brennan TD (Fine Gael) and Jennifer Cummins (Social Democrats) to speak about Anne a heavily pregnant horse whose death, and the loss of her unborn foal, was preventable.
Anne collapsed and died on a public road. This was not an isolated incident, but the result of a fragmented system where no single agency has clear responsibility when animals and the public are put at risk in urban areas. Warning signs were present long before this tragedy, yet no authority intervened particularly out of hours.
We have now been informed by An Garda Síochána that Anne’s case is actively under investigation, we are delighted to support them with our detailed evidence file.
This is not just an animal welfare issue it is a public safety issue.
We are calling for urgent national action, including:
• A 24/7 state-run animal and equine emergency response line
• A state-led multi-agency task force for urban equine enforcement and public safety
• Clear legal responsibility for out-of-hours intervention, so warning signs lead to action not tragedy
We would also like to sincerely thank Barry Heneghan TD (Dublin North), Paul Murphy TD (People Before Profit), and Pádraig Rice (Social Democrats) for their commitment and support on this issue.
Anne deserved better. So did her foal. And so do our communities.
