@ZachCav Oh to be a fly in the wall for that conversation. Is 15m an overpay for now, yes. Is it an overpay in 3 years, unlikely. So if your franchise player asks for 15, give him 15 (unless it was short term like 2 yrs or something) Now you either lose him or overpay significantly more.

@ZachCav It's definitely more expensive than I think Minty is really worth at this point, but Verbeek painted himself in a corner by not getting it done sooner. Definitely couldn't lose both Minty and Zelly in the same off season. That's not even factoring his current Leo debacle.

@LAPCJK Been thinking the same thing. I have nothing against the Flyers fans in general, but those who take this as some kind of shot at the Flyers are just looking for reasons to hate the Ducks/Cutter. They were doing a draft day pic request and someone requested Cutter, not that deep.

@ZachCav So far...no. it's been the standard overpay that is the first day of free agency. I don't like the amount of players that have left the Ducks all at once, but that doesn't mean I'm willing for the Ducks to hand out the same contracts to them.

@DucksNPucks If Terry wasn't going to be out for half the year, I'd think he would be as the tenured Duck on offense. With him being out, I feel like it'll go to the next generation instead like Leo or Cutter.
