It is a humbling experience showing players a tutorial you're super duper sure is crystal clear, only to have them flail 😂 Thankfully, I was able to fix everything in time for #paxwest tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone!

I was inspired by Jason Schreier's reporting on the Halo Wars team's efforts to redesign the RTS for console. It took changes to both the game design and the UI to make the gameplay feel intuitive.

Part of why I made OVH was to challenge the idea that mobile-first games can't be rich and fulfilling experiences! Every medium has its strengths and weaknesses, and mobile's are tragically underexplored.
