The idea that we can save each other from this is incredibly pervasive. Many ill people I know are buckled under the pressure of just making it through the day. We can’t medicate or therapise or wish ourselves (or others) better. the system is not designed for relief or peace

Everyone I’ve checked in on has been doing terribly. We can have a cup of tea on Zoom as often as we like but sick & suffering people don’t need that. They need properly funded mental healthcare &access to services. Waiting lists are growing &even private care is harder to access
