Speaking of Hades's true role and return, in one place you can find this is in the lyrics of 'Footfalls', EnW's main theme. He sings the response lyrics towards the end, same as in 'Smile' (DT's) he sings the responses in brackets. :D

As a note, the chorus of Hades is the souls of all mankind. He did come in Ultima Thule as speaker for every soul of humanity, sundered and Ancient. It is also why a crucial musical leitmotif of his character is the choir. It is only logical that the chorus of the Lord of the Underworld would be every soul, the voices of the star as one. :)
