One thing I think a lot about is epistemic humility - being more interested in truth than "winning", ego be damned. I keep thinking "If you're wrong, would you want to know?", both towards others and myself. Ignoring better arguments is a sign of cowardice, not righteousness 🧭

@IonaItalia In my experience that holds true regardless of subjective beauty levels of the person - I'll always prefer the unmade, casual aesthetic overall. Special events can be fun to get "done up" for, but they don't tend to do much for me attraction-wise.

@IonaItalia For some of us it's more about preference than being observant. Prefer none, some amount I don't mind, past a certain point it's a significant issue that impedes attraction I might otherwise have. But I'm most attracted to women bare faced and lounging in a tee and boxers sooo 🤷

I really wish this platform/world had more Helen Pluckroses. Great thread well worth a quick read regardless if you agree with her stated opinons. I aspire to be more like her in the way I go about my interactions in the world (though probably often fail 😁).
