If you’ve read The Vampire Lestat book then you’ll agree that episode was soooo perfect like that was soooo Lestat he’s so unhinged and corny and funny god he’s a mess
wow guys. i need to rewatch this again asap. i struggled to keep up with all the 17367262 frames happening on screen at the same time AND the dialogue AND the voiceover. I felt on drugs too so the editing did its intended job. Lestat you're transgender
"expectations?"
"none. nothing. just sit with me." "please!" "please find me!" "starlight inm, room 14... I'm not well." "i" "love" "you" "forget it, i'm fine. hell with you"

“i’m not really at my best” like he’s ashamed of himself when he’s not perfect. it makes him angry to stutter, he doesn’t want to be less than what people need to see out of him

lestat wants so bad to exist. to be himself. to be "real". he wants to be seen and loved and wanted for who he is, but no one wants that so what he is left with is playing a part.

lestat at his most vulnerable openly admitting he’s doing horrible and seeking comfort in gabrielle the only way he knows how… i’m sick with grief ☹️
#tvlspoilers the band calling lestat only "the singer". the amount of times that we have lestat be depersonalized by a title: wolfkiller, lelio, maker, singer.
