I booked an onward flight via Delta flight DL 88 with confirmation number H3L49A to travel to delhi via Paris on 28th July. This flight was delayed by 2 hours which made me miss my connecting flight from Paris.
I was made to stay at the transit hotel at the Paris airport for a full 24 hours to catch the same flight the next day with no compensation at all. I missed my grandmother’s funeral because of this.
Now, while booking this flight I was not told that I would require a Schengen visa to transit through two countries in the EU. Chase travel did not provide me with any information regarding this rule.
Because of this, I had to re-book another flight from Delhi on the 10th of August with only one transit stop at Amsterdam and ended up spending almost five hours on the phone with Chase personnel trying to figure out a solution.
In the end they simply told me “It is the passenger’s responsibility to make sure they meet all visa requirements”. I am sure it isn’t common knowledge that a Schengen visa is required for transit travel through two EU countries but not for one.
Suffice to say that this will be the last time I use Chase Travel for my travel bookings as the customer service has not only inconvenienced me greatly but also caused me a staggering level of mental stress.

Chase travel could have informed me of this. This put a massive strain on my finances as I had to pay extra $1500 for the next day’s flight to Atlanta and once again, Chase travel did not compensate me for this.
@Chase I’d like to share the most traumatic travel experience I have had in all my years of air travel. My grandmother passed away on the 07/27, because of which I had to quickly book a round trip to India through Chase Travel leaving Atlanta on 07/28 and returning on 08/09.
