In 2019, I was flown from New York to Toronto to do an editorial for @FashionCanada I came into the studio and asked where all the models are. They said it’s only me. I was surprised. And then had to make poses that were awkward for me. Looks like they turned out OK. Keep learning… @XFashion

Modeling

Every modeling job has a story, but this one was very challenging for me. @XFashion
About 15 years ago, I was booked for this job in Breda, the Netherlands. I flew Economy to Düsseldorf, took a train to the German border, then another train to Breda. Fortunately, I could speak German and Afrikaans, which is like Dutch, as in the countryside, many people couldn’t speak English and I had to buy train tickets, order food and take a cab.
When we got to downtown Breda, there was a marathon so the streets were closed. I walked six blocks with my luggage to a very economical, small hotel where they couldn’t speak English but we could still communicate.
Another new experience, it was the first time a hair stylist glued hair extensions onto my scalp. Afterwords it was really painful taking them out.
Oh well, the end result was lovely. You do what you have to do to keep in the business.

Was so looking 4ward 2 r work Xmas prty @Ginofantastico restaurant in Camden on Sat. Service was appalling & food was either cold or burnt. Deserts came out 45mins after the other 14 & to top it off one person was unwell all night. #suchashame #sodissapointed @GinoRestaurants
