@MessilyPerfect Throwing what was left of the bottle to the floor, he stared furiously at her and grabbed her by the throat. “I regret the day any of you were ever born.”
@MessilyPerfect “Go ahead! It’s your word against mine and they’ll believe me before they ever believe you and that thing up there!” He shouted, holding the broken bottle dangerously close to her throat.
@MessilyPerfect Gripping the bottle tightly, he smashed it against the small table beside his armchair and stormed towards her. “No you fucking won’t, you go anywhere near them and I will have you arrested for kidnapping.”

Listening to them shouting at each other, Ainsley abandoned the teddy and crawled deeper under the blankets as she started screaming in fear.

@MessilyPerfect Climbing under the blankets, she nodded and clung as tightly to the teddy that was bigger than her as she could. “Don’t let him hurt you, Avie . . .” She whispered, but it was more of a plea than a request.
