Air Marshal A.K. Bharti, the IAF’s Director General Air Operations during Operation Sindoor and one of its most recognisable public faces since, has retired on reaching the age of superannuation. He was also awarded the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal.
A graduate of the 70th NDA Course and the 139th Pilot Course, he was commissioned as a fighter pilot on 13 June 1987. A Fighter Combat Leader and Defence Services Staff College graduate, he served as Flight Commander of a Su-30 squadron before taking command of No. 30 Squadron in August 2005. This was a formative period for the Su-30MKI fleet, and he oversaw the operationalisation of the Phase III aircraft’s weapon systems and the development of tactics to exploit its expanding capabilities. During his tenure, the squadron participated in Exercise Gagan Shakti, Indradhanush 2006 with the Royal Air Force and Garuda 2007 with the French Air Force. He was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal for this command.
He later commanded 2 Wing at Pune and held senior operational appointments at Air Headquarters, Strategic Forces Command and Eastern Air Command. He went on to serve as the senior air operations officer at Central Air Command, Director General Air Operations during Operation Sindoor and, finally, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff.
A distinguished career that culminated at the heart of one of the IAF’s most consequential operations in recent years.
Wow the bowlers are having a say after getting beaten black and blue over the last 3-4 months.🤩🤩
The ball is talking and it sets up for great viewing.#engvnz
For all cricket fans talking of test cricket being boring, have a designated test summer like Australia & England, also ensure specific test centres and see how the crowds turn up.
Test cricket, you beauty.
🤞 for your long life and health.
Well done, Arjun. ❤️
Proud of the way you’ve carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match.
Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today.
Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have.
Love you always.👏
Excellence takes flight.
Sqn Ldr Saanya achieved a historic first by becoming the first woman officer to earn the coveted Cat-A Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) qualification. Her achievement embodies dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence.
A proud milestone for the IAF and an inspiration for aspiring aviators across the nation.

Two F-16 crashes in Turkey & South Korea in the last 24 hours. The former was fatal as the pilot couldn’t eject.
Not one American , Turkish or Korean account asking Lockheed Martin to shutdown.
Two TEJAS crashes in the last two years and some people want HAL to be sent to the guillotine.
Any other country with an aviation complex so diverse would have doubled down on Mk2 and AMCA funding , hired tenured program heads and tied it to milestone based incentives.
Unshackle HAL from the PSU pay bands , rejig its HR policies and allow it to hire the best talent out there.R&D cannot be a lab rat for the GOI’s DEI policies.

This Headline was written back in 2006, when Sachin was 33 years of age and 17 years of International career old,
from there till he retired at 40,added another 9220 runs with 25 100s and 48 50s at an average of 50.1
PS-This phase alone would be called a good career for anybody
I grew up watching Sunny Deol movies and loved every bit of that era. Border 2 taps straight into that nostalgia. It’s decently entertaining, even if the execution is very… filmy. The CGI could have been much better at times it feels straight out of a DCS cutscene and Paaji taking out tanks could’ve been shown a little more realistically. I mean, grenade se kaun udata hai tank? 😂
But then again, this is Sunny Paaji. The man once defeated Pakistan with a bloody handpump, so logic has never been the point and that’s perfectly fine.
What’s surprising is seeing certain influencers suddenly discovering “cinema realism” while reviewing this film. Before you take their Border 2 reviews seriously, go check out their Tata Siera… sorry, Saiyaara reviews. Who cares about the name both were paid anyway.
Bottom line:
If you’re expecting military realism, skip it.
If you’re going in for Sunny Paaji madness, chest-thumping dialogues, and pure nostalgia this one’s for you.
Varun does a solid job. Diljit absolutely wins hearts. Suniel Shetty well, he looked like himself and was okay, but nowhere close to the impact of Bhairon Singh.
A young girl from Jehanabad left home to chase her dreams in Patna…but the city failed her.
She was sexually assaulted in her locked room on Jan 6th and she died 5 days later. The autopsy has confirmed assault, even as the cops pushed for a “suicide” theory and bullied the family to drop the case.
She aspired to heal India, deserved safe havens for her ambitions. No city should crush young girls’ futures and hopes like this. Justice should honors her dreams. #JusticeForNEETGirl #SafePatna
SANJAY MANJREKAR ON VIRAT KOHLI TEST RETIREMENT:🚨🗣️
“Well as Joe Root attains new heights in test cricket, my mind goes to Virat Kohli. He has given up Test cricket, and it's sad that in the five years leading up to his retirement, when he was struggling, he didn't put his heart and soul into figuring out why his average in Test cricket was only 31 for those five years.
It would have been fine if Virat Kohli had retired from all formats of cricket, but the fact that he has chosen to continue playing ODI cricket disappoints me even more, because it's the easiest format. The format that truly tests you is Test cricket.
Secondly, because he is so fit, incredibly fit, you feel even more strongly that he could have continued his fight to regain his form.”
Running vs Lifting weights (Strength training)
If you had to choose only ONE… which is better for long-term health?
▶️Imagine two 35-year-olds:
Person A
Runs 45 min, 5 days/week
Person B
Lifts weights 45 min, 5 days/week
Both eat well and sleep 7–8 hours.
Fast-forward 10 years ⏩
▶️What does science tell us?
1. Weight & belly fat
➡️ Running wins
More calorie burn, better visceral fat reduction
2. Blood pressure
➡️ Running wins
Aerobic exercise lowers BP more consistently
3. Blood sugar / diabetes risk
➡️ Near tie
Running improves insulin sensitivity
Strength training builds muscle, resulting in better glucose disposal
4. Lipids (cholesterol, TGs)
➡️ Running wins
5. Heart attack & stroke risk
➡️ Running wins clearly
Higher cardiorespiratory fitness (higher VO2 max) is associated with lower CV events & mortality
6. Cancer risk
➡️ Running has stronger evidence
Lower risk of colon, breast & endometrial cancers
7. Longevity (living longer)
➡️ Running wins
Aerobic fitness (VO₂ max) is one of the strongest predictors of survival
💪 But strength training has its own superpower
➡️ Muscle & bone preservation
Prevents sarcopenia, frailty, falls and loss of independence with ageing
✅The honest takeaway
If forced to pick only one for long-term metabolic health & longevity → Aerobic exercise (running) wins
But this is NOT a “ditch the gym” message.
🏆 The real winner?
The person who combines BOTH:
1. Running (aerobic exercise) on 3–4 days/week
2. Strength training on 2–3 days/week
▶️That combination:
✔️ Reduces heart attack, stroke & cancer risk
✔️ Improves BP, sugars & lipids
✔️ Preserves muscle, bone & independence
✔️ Maximizes lifespan and healthspan

🚨🚨 Virat Kohli indirect response to Ajit Agarkar's non commital remark:
"I've been very sure of the fact that once I make myself available to play I arrive at my 100% capacity , I have never arrived at a series or a tournament at even 95% ”.
My comment - If still Agarkar has doubts over Virat's commitment & he spread negativity regarding him & create unnecessary pressure then BCCI better sack him & bring a better selector!
