@C0mbatBarista “So, if I were in for a bad time, at least I wouldn’t be paying? Aren’t you quite the charmer, Hec?”
Cressida placed her cup back down half full.
"Well, I'll take the sane part if it's with you~," he teased the young woman.
Hearing that sip as he cleaned the equipment, he would nod to her praise.
"As always~. I kid. I'm glad the blend worked well. You are my first in doing so."
The smug demeanor melted like candle wax. Vague comments like that were no stranger to their field. Often times, you don’t ask . .
—for the individual’s wellbeing, it’s better not to.
Her smile returned, and the somber air only stained her eyes.
“Well, you’ve been busy,”
—
❝ Not at all ma'am. I apologize for my time away from my post. Much has happened and I... ... ❞
He's lowering his head glancing down at his own pair of feet.
❝ Much has happened since well before. I know it's not an excuse. I'm sorry Cressida. ❞
“Well, we’ll stick with either or,” she chuckled, “makes it more fun that way.”
Cressida finally took a sip. The rich flavors and slight kick forced her to take another.
“Not bad~! Not that I doubted you.”
"Gotta be sober and sane on the job. It's how I keep going here."
Hector chuckled lightly, bottling the vodka before placing it back into the stash while proceeding to clean up.
"Cheers, Cressida."
Cressida smiled at the sight, relishing his drive to make it. Eyes drifted for a moment as he worked with the shaker cup — but she didn’t linger too long.
“You know, it’s a shame you can’t drink on the job~”
She took the cup, careful to raise it.
“Cheers.”
"Got it~."
And so, ditching the lemon juice, he would mix some premade warm coffee, cinnamon syrup, and a shot of vodka into a shaker cup with ice, giving it a few shakes, before pouring it into a long glass, topping it with some cinnamon syrup.
"A-ha."
@BylethAshen “And, what sort of trouble are you getting up to? Sabotage? Blackmail? Private lessons?”
Shared sellsword experience paved some sort of understanding of perspective of Byleth.
"Thought you might want something strong. Or want it to be the usual coffee," Hector nodded to Cressida.
"I do have the special blends on coffee. Sky's the limit."
"Something strong? Gotta consult my stash there." Kneeling down to the separate refrigerator unit, he would grab a bottle of vodka and lemon juice before standing up.
"Let's make sure you have the best experience~."
