He was slain before the creation of the world.
The difference between me and the saints of the past is that they didn’t know the HOW. But they trusted in him.

@miklosSnagy These are not separate things. True faith encompasses all this. The moment I trusted in Jesus as my Lord and Savior, the Spirit and the Scripture gave me the assurance of salvation. As a result, I live in discipleship and give fruit that testify my salvation.

@miklosSnagy Faith is more than “belief”. There are lots of people who “believe” in Christian doctrines and are not saved. Saving faith means repentance, trust and a living relationship with Christ as Lord.

Faith in JESUS.
Not faith in something, but faith in someone.
All those to whom he said “your faith has saved you” had faith in HIM.
Abraham had faith in HIM.
There has never been salvation but through faith in the Logos.

@miklosSnagy Faith in the promise. Faith in the Word of God. Christ IS the Word of God. From Adam to today, all who were saved were saved by faith in Christ (The Word, The Lamb, the Promised Descendant, The Son of David, the Son of Man…).
