great selection
with a sufficiently complex codebase, you can yap with an agent for hours and still not have the faintest clue how the code works. the same thing happens with news; you can read the ft and whatnot for hours and still be completely in the blue
@mxcl i think you're trying to find success from a place of weakness and vulnerability. by making yourself think the clovk is ticking down and you gotta create something now or never. where is your advantage in that?
having a burnout as an unaccomplished person feels so goofy because like how am i burning out after doing a bunch of bullshit for work? like einstein single handedly did the annus mirabilis and was probably feeling light as a feather and here i am with my goofy 9-5 and coursework
using claude code on big codebases is not only very slow, but it makes a surprising amount of mistakes / stupid code and you have no idea what is going on in your "own" code. it's pretty bad as it stands.
don't fret your choices in life and whether they are "the right" choices. by default you are making the choices that are exactly the right ones for you. in fact, if you overthink your choices you may end up doing things that a person like you shouldn't be doing.
i really dislike the futurism/scifi slop around spacex
it's a cool company and incredible engineering but why do people seem to have some kind of out of body tier experience regarding the launches
it's really difficult for me to put in to words the disillusionment wrt conscious experience that i've gone through in the last year. it started with depersonalization and derealization. and then it just entirely consumed me. i can no longer distinguish reality from a game engine
you know when you are working on something and the thing you're making fucking sucks? you should probably still finish it because if you only work on things that don't suck then you never make it through the phase in which the things you make suck :D
the problem with AI coding in large codebases rn is that it doesn't really get better or faster over time, there's no learning curve. if you implement stuff yourself instead you start knowing the codebase by heart and after some time you may be as fast or faster than using cc
