I think what upsets me more than anything is that we are watching what is happening in Gaza in real time and still the international community does nothing to stop it.
I have said before, in 2008 the Sri Lankan government did the same to Tamil separatists, killing over 40,000 civilians. And not only did they get away with it, but the same evil bastards responsible ended up in government again 12-13 years later. There were no repercussions beyond a slapped wrist.
The Rohingya genocide in Myanmar is also of similar proportions.
It seems governments in the global North don't particularly care much when it's brown people being massacred.
I am glad the people do.
