The guy on your right is the outgoing MP for Aylesbury.
He's obviously not read the transport plan from 2017 which includes the link roads. And Phase 1 work on the road between the A41 and Wendover Road is already scheduled to start... #Aylesbury#gridlocked#outoftouch#HS2
I’ve been thinking about this and I’m still completely bewildered. Why in earth would Sunak mark his anniversary as PM by abolishing the cap on bankers’ bonuses if it weren’t to appease the Trussites? He doesn’t lead his party, he runs scared of it.
@RhonddaBryant Disquieting to learn "material poor performance or misconduct" isn't subject to immediate dismissal for bankers in the eyes of the regulators...
@Jeremy_Hunt Anyone else get the vibe post-Brexit Tory Britain is struggling to attract genuine long-term investors so settling for predatory capital instead?
@Conservatives Tory priorities in their death throes:
✅ Sell Arriva to private equity I-Square
✅ Sell taxpayer-purchased #HS2 land to property developers (spikes further HS2 plans)
✅ Lift cap on bankers bonuses, exposing taxpayers to endless bank bailouts.

Podcast listeners keep asking me why investing in house builders is my red line. I won’t do it. Here’s why. Buying a shit house can destroy a family’s financial life for ever. Building shit houses is very very wrong. https://t.co/gDDBeW2gCc
@RMTunion@We_OwnIt@AvantiWestCoast Tories sabotaging the future of public transport - sale of Chiltern Railways to I Square private equity; discounted land sales from HS2 and contract renewal for Avanti.
"Sale of HS2 land to lose £100m of taxpayers’ money"
Sunak is selling it off in great haste at a massive loss just to scorch the earth so that Labour have no chance whatsoever of reviving the project.
It's as simple, cynical and destructive as that.

Tory war on the poor in England.
65% of maternity care is unsafe.
7.78m awaiting hospital appointment.
2.6m chronically ill and unfit to work.
Govt wants force the sick/disabled to work, cut their benefits so that it can hand tax cuts to the rich.

EXCL: Jeremy Hunt expected to quit as MP before next election, according to senior Tories, who say chancellor is aware he could suffer a “Michael Portillo” moment on polling day - by @tobyhelm https://t.co/zwZSaODTRD
@SophyRidgeSky Surely these by-elections reflect public rejection of Conservatives track-record of over-promising and under-delivering, rather than their latest PM's leadership style?
