@DerekTheWeather Oh it does happen but it doesn't stay around for long. Case in point was last Sunday. Here in Aberdare the temp stayed below zero under cloudy snowy skies yet snow melted on roads, pavements and on grass from beneath. Some however was due to sublimation due to low dew points

@Schafernaker @DerekTheWeather And Tredegar sits at over 1000' so maybe better to differentiate between upland and lowland areas. Agree that lowland snow will struggle to stick for more than 12-24 hours but upland snow is a whole different ball game
