The Bat.
Oh.
So that’s why Oswald wanted to see him.
“I fail to see why that constitutes an “emergency”” he snaps, laying heavy on the air quotes.
“He’s always sticking his nose in where it isn’t needed”
He sighs. It’s better than nothing.
“What do you have in mind?”
Watching Ed's movements. Why does he have to move so fine... Did he just .. praise his looks... Then quickly waddles around the table and sits down, changing the topic fast.
"The bat was here. Asking about my business!"
Stares at Ed. He wants this bat problem solved.
For good
He sits. Feet up on Oswald’s desk. What took him so long indeed!
“You look absolutely fine Oswald”
Better than fine actually.
“And in no apparent danger”
He raises a questioning eyebrow.
“Talk about what?”
A tall silhouette at the door.. Ed! Oswald gets up, hurrying towards him but also careful not to look too happy.
"What took you so long?! I could have been dead now!"
Don't mention it. The pier.
"Sit down sit down... We need to talk!"
Signals impatiently towards the chair
Despite being really quite certain it wasn’t an emergency he didn’t spare any time getting to the Iceberg Lounge.
It almost certainly wasn’t anything to worry about.
Just Oswald being Oswald. Probably.
“Oswald!”
Sitting in his office, fingers impatiently tapping the table. Looking at his watch.
Tapping. Waiting. Regretting. Looking at the watch. Tapping. Is this watch working. Tapping. Waiting.
Footsteps...
"Ed...?"
One hand resting on the loaded gun under the table. You never know.
"To me,fair friend, you never can be old,for as you were when first your eye I eyed, such seems your beauty still.Three winters cold have from the forests shook three summers pride, three beauteous springs to yellow autumn turn'd"
