@pokerheadrush When you have a deep stack, your chips turn into both a weapon and a shield. Play your position properly and patiently, you'll eek out more wins than one deserves
@pokerheadrush This advice (as mentioned in your books) was a big part of my strategy in my last three WPT tournaments online. 2 first place finishes, accompanied by a second place. All three over 500 entrants.
*I saw that fist pump, Alex 😏
@pokerheadrush Agree. The "C-bet by Default" is the poker equivalent of nodding during a conversation when you have absolutely no idea what’s being said. It’s a reflex, not a strategy.
@Viral_Strike@pokerheadrush Well we clearly are playing opponents from a totally different field. I play about 6 days a week and none of these guys are thinking that deep and are not changing their behavior.
@GYY1@PokerNews@GmanPoker@HCLPokerShow@RobbiJadeLew@partypoker I feel it's more likely that she's a dummy -or lacks skill or called a bluff or misread her cards before cheating BECAUSE any two people smart enough to set up a cheating scheme of this magnitude is smart enough to lay that hand down.
@Viral_Strike@pokerheadrush I used to think this as well because it's logical. "Clearly people will notice and adjust". Nope, they won't. Generally players are stuck in their own two cards and the board. If you're playing superior cards then it doesn't matter what they notice.
@pokerheadrush It's hilarious that you mention this. My buddy had asked me about any exciting hands or plays that got me to 1st place. And for the first time I had nothing...It was then when I realized that I made NO spectacular or memorable plays. I just stuck with the plan. No tough plays.
@pokerheadrush Exactly. You’re essentially using your bet sizing as a filter for talent. By "overpricing" the pot, you price out the thinking players. That leaves you heads-up against the Stations who are willing to pay a premium tax just to see a flop with mediocre hands while out of position.
@pokerheadrush *in position*
What's funny about this, I've been doing it since your suggestion and opponents HATE IT. Secures the fold often. Inside my head I say, "theee over-bet!".
@pokerheadrush Everyone wants to be the hero who catches the bluff, but the smartest player in the room is the one who folded the turn and watched the carnage for free.
@elonmusk HEY, it's pretty egregious to remove the ability to transfer FSD after many of us bought a Tesla YEARS ago with the promise of ACTUAL FSD level 4 that still hasn't materialized. Now we're penalized if we buy a new car since our mileage is approaching 200K! That's wrong.
