❌automatic rights to a blue badge
❌automatic right to disability benefits

An ADHD diagnosis and treatment does give you:

✔️better mental and physical health
✔️reduced risk of premature death, substance misuse and a prison term

Without a fit note you can’t get sick pay

So if you are off ill your employer can say it’s not sanctioned time off . You won’t be paid . You will probably be sacked.

It doesn't. It never has. This is more hatemongering about disabled people to reduce empathy for them so there is less uproar when the govt attempts to introduce further cuts they know will result in the deaths and suffering of the disabled.

Thinking of the countless tears I have witnessed after someone has been granted a ‘sick note’ from their GP surgery — permission, after months or years of desperately trying to keep it together to finally prioritise their health. This reprieve often allows people to stay in work.

As a consultant clinical psychologist, I must say: the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change calling moderate depression, ADHD and back pain “non-work-limiting” is scientifically illiterate. What DO they share? Maximum public suspicion—making them an easy 🎯if one lacks ethics.
