@mightydudbolt While Lucas is a competent filmmaker, Kershner’s voice elevated the project to a level that would not have been possible within a George Lucas auteur project. Journeyman filmmakers should not be looked down upon, and being a distinct director should not be blindly appreciated.
@mightydudbolt Since when was auteurship equal to talent? Film is a collaborative process and filmmakers being able to work within a grander project should not make them inferior. It’s clear that Kershner’s presence counterbalanced Lucas’s tendencies and led to a better film than the others.
@SCentralized This is because Revenge of the Sith takes no narrative risks whatsoever, which is also why it is a far worse film than Attack of the Clones
The tragedy of Jimmy McGill is that he’s simply just a really twisted person. From basically age 10 he was looking up to loser conmen and stealing from his dad’s register. It’s so hard to like him by this point and that’s probably the most fascinating thing about the show.
Just a few truly abhorrent quotes showcasing how vile the Bahai faith’s view on queerness is and some insanely deprived racism from Abdu’l-Baha (one of the faith’s central figures) in the last image. So happy to be free of this religious nonsense.
