@MeghanEMurphy I loved horror movies as a kid because the monsters on screen were easily identifiable and not plausible in real life whereas the monsters I lived with blended into society and no one recognized them as being bad. It was cathartic.
Did you hear what The View's Sunny Hostin just said? She called Maine's Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner "a cheater, an antisemite, a liar, a racist, and a homophobe."
Then she paused and said something very telling: “BUT...” the Democrats need "to win that seat in Maine" to stop Trump.
This once again proves that the Left has no moral code and will do anything to seize back power.
Here's something we all need to remember: Everything before you say “but” is what you actually believe. Everything after is what you’re willing to trade it for.
The Left is willing to trade exactly what they’ve been claiming to fight just to regain a little bit of power. All the harping about racism, sexism, and homophobia means nothing if they’ll compromise their beliefs for 'the collective good.'
@klara_sjo I had to replace my @patagonia jacket last year and wanted exactly the same, as it was a great jacket that served me well. But after they worked with this person, I went with a different company. I won’t be buying from companies that openly mock women.
Regional job growth trends are becoming one of the clearest leading indicators for where long term real estate demand may concentrate next.
OR, WA & CA among the biggest drop in hiring since 2020 (outside of WY, NM & VT)
Regional divergence is becoming the real story behind the national headlines.

If the Feds went in heavy and arrested them all, it would most likely cause a mass uprising of people who don’t understand what’s happening there but aren’t generally supportive of this administration or ice. Targeting arrests and dismantling their camps is a good thing. Meanwhile, they’re tracking who is funding it all.
So many times has communism been tried and only works in small committed groups supported by capitalist ventures outside their communes. Wereally should teach the history of these communities in American schools. We just visited historic Brownsville in Aurora, Oregon. Same story, started as communal religious community.
My grandma is 98. She says she turned into a baby again. She only wears bootie’s, She wears a bib to eat, is unsteady on her feet, and carries a bag with cookies and chocolates with her. She also says how much she’s enjoying this part of life for all the attention she gets and the complete lack of chores.
@Dapper_Det@MayorofSeattle Maybe they should hire private security for their neighborhood in addition to putting up barriers to keep undesirable people out.
My neighbors had a small section of their sidewalk repaired and my son asked if he could write his initial in the drying cement. I was appalled, but they said yes. 20 years later, I see it every time I go for a walk and remember his desire to impromptu himself in the world and the generosity of my neighbors helping him to do so.
@Fred_On_X I was once grounded for a few days because I had ordered a cup of chili and when the waitress asked if I wanted cheese I said yes, not realizing it added a dollar. I learned to ask if it cost extra.
@emzanotti If only libraries it thrift stores had such rare and inaccessible books as “Joy of Cooking”, “Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook”, or “How to Cook Everything”. It’s a shame this esoteric knowledge will be lost to the sands of time.
Fun Fact of the Day: These Four Republicans Byron Donalds (FL-19), Wesley Hunt (TX-38), John James (MI-10), and Burgess Owens (UT-4) represent majority white congressional districts, and NOT one of them was allowed to join the Black Congressional Caucus.
Are they not black enough? 🤔
I’m starting to think the democrats are being very disingenuous about all this talk of black people being unable to be elected or represented, the black vote being repressed, and the “Jim Crow 2.0” bullshit. 🤨
