From The Insiders on @NFLNetwork: #Packers QB Jordan Love and his private QB coach Steve Calhoun join me and @StaceyDales to discuss their camp, Green Bay’s offseason, and the process behind Love’s success.
@WeDogz21@JaegarPedro I think they hired a good coach. Let’s see what else he accomplishes. But he is not receiving the benefit of the doubt. Don’t think it’s controversial to say he shouldn’t
Sorry…. I’m totally down to not assume the worst but you can’t bury your head in the sand & act mystified with how he achieved the reputation he has. Think a healthy amount of skepticism is appropriate… think we all just want him to let the 🏀 people make basketball decisions
"[Mike] McDaniel is challenging [Justin] Herbert in ways that no other offensive coordinator has in his career."
—@krisrhim1 on Herbert changing his footwork this offseason ✍️
@JaegarPedro@WeDogz21 It’s also not a volume pick flaw to me. As much as It’s the timeliness of it. And the process of how you achieved the 2024 draft. I think it’s ok to have questions and i think it’s ok to admit Horst is part of the reason (not the sole reason) the team is where it is currently.
@WeDogz21@JaegarPedro People have expressed curiosity & concern over the bucks ownership structure and their general operation. And it’s fair. Doesn’t mean the franchise is doomed & it should seize to exist.
USMNT star Christian Pulisic continued to train separately from the team ahead of Friday's match vs. Australia, per @JeffreyCarlisle.
Pulisic injured his calf in training last week and aggravated it during the USMNT’s World Cup opener win over Paraguay.
News: Ilia Frolov, a 6'11", 225‑pound center, tells ESPN he has committed to John Calipari and Arkansas.
“It was an amazing visit. Coach Calipari and the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Coach Cal can teach me a lot about the game, and I will do whatever it takes to help him win.”
Frolov, who turned 18 today, is a member of the Russian National Team.
One of my favorite skillsets from this draft class is Henri Veesaar as pick-and-roll partner... here's why⤵️
Veesaar is an elite roll man because he is both an effective scorer and playmaker, giving his projected NBA role more malleability.
Much of my optimism for Veesaar stems from my hope he can survive as a stretch-4, otherwise he runs the risk of being stranded in tweener purgatory, to slow to be a 4 but not strong enough to be a 5, despite being a true seven footer.
Veesaar's ability to score and facilitate from the middle of the floor opens up opportunities to be paired with a more traditional 5, not to mention Veesaar can legitimately stretch the floor too.
A 7-footer with short roll passing, who shot 42% from three while being both 94th percentile as a pick-and-pop scorer and 98th percentile in high-low actions, points to extremely intriguing role flexibility for Veesaar as a potential stretch-4, where his connectivity + size should be coveted.
His efficiency across these play types highlights an impressive overlap of perimeter and interior scoring. Paired with elite off-ball scoring, connective passing, and strong turnover suppression (13.7 TO%) I’m very confident that Veesaar can easily return value as a late first-round pick in the right system.

The LA Clippers have had discussions about trading down from the No. 5 pick while remaining set on making an early draft selection this year, per @Sam_Vecenie.

The first 5 times you said this saga was annoying was probably enough…
It’s not that inconveniencing. I don’t buy the toll it’s taking on you.
Unless you’ve been on the front lines this entire time
Ok I’m done
@DatManRJ@hiimdabby But yea man… there’s a reason i don’t want a small guard next to already “slimmer” Ryan Rollins. If you are serious about mimicking successful league wide trends… your back court needs some punch.
@DatManRJ@hiimdabby 100%. It’s kinda why I’ve become warmer on Acuff. It matters. And line burries
Deron Williams was another one. Just strong and physical. And i think we all watched the postseason. That plays. It tracks. Not saying you need body builders lol
@DatManRJ@hiimdabby Won’t dance around the question. Yes it matters a great deal to me. But if i see a guard who i believe knows how to play physically & wants to do it but can’t really (Wagler)… & i see a frame i think can add some healthy applicable weight (Wagler)… I’ll fade those concerns more
@DatManRJ@hiimdabby Yea. But I’m harsh. I have to see evidence of some outlier trait for me to spend a top 5 let alone top 10 pick on a guard i have any sort of size questions about. Height / weight / frame / wingspan
I heavily factor in anthros with guards. Checks my board & yea. Mikel brown at 5
