I’m starting my own venture that is purely volunteer hours and I will never take a salary. I do pay others for their expertise in helping build it, buy all net revenue is going to be donated.

The old system of paying leadership and asking for volunteers is the reason. Lead by example.

People with vast amounts of money could be more generous and innovative with their access. I’m not in their league and do considerable practices to help others - working on making it a career, and putting wealthy people on check. And I am no socialist. Not even close. It’s not via government, it’s just human.
