@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho Here's an analogy/hypothetical. Lets say you took a test and your friend got a 30% but you got a 42% and your argument is, "well, at least I didn't get a 30%." While yes technically a 42% is better, you still failed, with the same grade letter. Advocate for minimum 70%.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho Here again you're missing the point. I'm not comparing her policy to Trump's. We both understand how bad Trump policy has been and will continue to be. You almost couldn't get worse. The issue is the Democrat Party gave people reason to vote for him or not vote for them.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho And while most of the candidates I referenced do hold local office, that still matters... A LOT. When people start seeing in their neighborhood what Mayor Mamdani is doing for example - it shows them that there is a great alternative to the estab. Dems and repulsive Repubs.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho (4/4) That way of thinking is valid to a certain extent, but I think what's also important is not letting the Dems get away with doing nothing and using the excuse, "they will be worse." It's like... okay bro so damned if we do, damned if we don't.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho (3/4) its people like you who are providing a speed bump by saying "lets just let the Dems win even if they aren't going to have my interests in mind when they get in office. Just make sure the Reps don't win."
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho (2/3) I gave before. Americans are opening their eyes, hence the unfavorable %'s across the board. What we don't need is people actively working against this progress such as Jasmine Crockett who recently endorsed an AIPAC candidate over Cori Bush.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho (1/2) its as you said, "progress is not gonna happen overnight." I'm not ignorant to Israel's influence on our media or elections, but my point is, progress has been shown. Especially over the last few years. More progressive candidates are running and winning, which is the list
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho Not only is 60% of U.S. adults have an unfavorable view of Israel, but 80% of Democrats/Dem-leaning Independents have an unfavorable view of Israel. Candidates have the support and its not going to be an easy fight, but that's not an invitation to ignore what the people wants.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho hmmm, lets see. Mayor Mamdani, Rep Ilhan Omar, Rep Rashida Tlaib, Sen Bernie Sanders, Rep AOC, Former Rep Cori Bush, Former Rep Thomas Massie + many more but I think its also important to mention 60% of U.S. adults have an unfavorable view of Israel.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho Why is free healthcare for all radical? Why is not being genocidal radical? Why is being pro-immigration radical? Why is wanting the American government to care about it's citizens more than PACs, lobbyists, or the Epstein class - radical?
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho You’re essentially victim blaming. Why is it not the Democrat party’s fault for putting up a shell after Trump 1 then refused to do primaries for 2024, but instead ran Harris who said OUT OF HER OWN MOUTH that she would be similar to Biden (whose presidency was unpopular)
@ProfessorDNA@WeGhoStyle@kendollmusik@hasanthehun@shannonrwatts Okay so you’re just making shit up 😭. He never said he supports the current US political system, he quite literally says the opposite. It’s called having to work within the confines of which you’re bounded to. If that’s not enough for you, read the other person’s reply.
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho Also you’re wrong about the black folk part. Black Americans are tired of Republicans getting in power and destroying the country then when Dems get in power they slap a bandaid on issues then people are like “why is nothing getting done?” “Does my vote even matter?”
@Demuremoony@Big_Chillin_Tho You’re arguing points nobody ever said. Other than right leaning people, who the hell ever said, “Harris will be worse than Trump?” Do you not grasp that this is universally accepted? I’m sorry your morals can be set aside so long as “D” is next to the name :/
@JoshuaFTV@Calicruisinn@Raindropsmedia1 Moreover, all of what you’ve said is completely irrelevant. You can clearly tell the mother isn’t “on drugs” and if the cop didn’t make it his mission to tell her to stop talking, they could start to understand it was an innocent mistake and not “ignoring their parenting duty”
@JoshuaFTV@Calicruisinn@Raindropsmedia1 Regardless of what the cop has to go through on a regular basis, the cop should be held to a standard of PROFESSIONALISM. You don’t walk into EVERY issue with the goal of arresting someone. You do your investigation and maintain professionalism.
@_PrttyGorgeous@Benelisky_@FearedBuck This dude ain’t worth responding to 😭… you can obviously tell their parents didn’t prioritize education in their household
