ہمیں جیل میں ڈالنے سے آپ کے گندے کرتوت کوئی نہیں بھولے گا - اس ملک کو آپ نے توڑا، آپ نے ڈالروں کے لیے بد امنی اور خون خرابا کیا، بلوچ نسل کشی کی، پشتون نسل کشی کی، غریب عوام کے وسائل پر دن دہاڑے ڈاکہ ڈالا، بے گناہ لوگوں کو جھوٹے توہین مذہب کے مقدمات میں پھنسایا، الیکشن چوری کیا، پارلیمان اور عدالتوں کو ہائجیک کیا۔ ہمیں جیل بھیجنے سے آپ کے جرائم نہیں مٹ جائینگے۔ اور ہماری آواز آپ دبائینگے تو اور لوگوں کی آواز ہماری آواز میں شامل ہوگی۔ اس غلط فہمی میں نا رہے کہ کیونکہ آپ بزدل ہے تو ہم سب بھی آپ جیسے ہونگے۔ جیل جسم کو قید کرتا ہے، سوچ کو نہیں۔ لیکن جنہے سوچنے کی صلاحیت ہی نہیں، انہے ہم کیا سمجھائے؟

ہم نے اپنی پوری کوشش کی ہے کہ جو ہم کر سکے ہم کرے۔ لیکن یہ زمیداری ہم سب کی ہے۔ اندر جانے سے پہلے آپ سب سے بس ایک ہی ریکویسٹ ہے۔۔۔ یاد رکھے کہ ہماری جنگ کسی ایک فرد کے لیے نہیں، یہ ہماری بقا کی جنگ ہے۔ اگر آج آپ نہیں لڑینگے، باری باری ذلت والی موت کی تیاری کرے۔ اس ملک میں نا تو کوئی آئین ہے نا قانون نا پارلیمان نا عدالتیں اور نا ہی میڈیا۔

جب تک عوام کی dignity, life اور آزادی کو تحفظ نہیں دیا جائے گا تب تک آج میں تو کل آپ اندر ہونگے۔ جو ہمیں سزا دے رہے ہے اور جن کی چابی پر دی جا رہی ہے، انہے یاد رکھنا چاہیے:

میری آواز، یہ تنہا مِری آواز نہیں

اَن گنت روحوں کی فریاد ہے شامل اِس میں

ہنس تو سکتے ہو، گرفتار تو کر سکتے ہو
خوار و رسوا سرِ بازار تو کر سکتے ہو
اپنی قہّار خدائی کی نمائش کے لیے
مجھے نذرِ رسن و دار تو کر سکتے ہو

تم ہی تم قادرِ مطلق ہو، خدا کچھ بھی نہیں؟
جسمِ انساں میں دماغوں کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں

آہ! یہ سچ ہے کہ ہتھیار کے بل بوتے پر
آدمی نادر و چنگیز تو بن سکتا ہے
ظاہری قوت و سطوت کی فراوانی سے
لینن و ہٹلر و انگریز تو بن سکتا ہے

سخت دشوار ہے انساں کا مکمل ہونا
حق و انصاف کی بنیاد پہ افضل ہونا”

Yet, the articulate Muslim—think @ZohranKMamdani, whose crusades for housing and labor rights in New York’s legislature and recent blistering campaign for New York mayor, carry a universalist edge; or @ImranKhanPTI, whose mix of nationalist fervor and welfare-state vision defies easy caricature—disrupts this narrative. They are not anomalies but exemplars of a reality too complex for the sloganeers of cultural panic. Their existence, as Muslims both unmistakably modern and unapologetically rooted, dismantles the myth of Islam’s inherent incompatibility with progress.

This is no mere rhetorical victory; it is a strategic one. The nativist’s playbook—whether in the guise of Hindutva’s chauvinism, Zionism’s ethno-superiority strains, or the West’s anti-immigrant populism—relies on a monolithic “other” to stoke fear of cultural eclipse. The integrated Muslim, embodying both tradition and enlightenment, forces a reckoning. Mamdani’s coalition-building across ethnic and religious lines, or Khan’s channeling of Islamic identity into a modern political project, reveals the diversity of Muslim experience. This diversity is not a footnote; it is a rebuke to those who peddle uniformity as a weapon.

The discomfort such figures provoke is palpable. They are harder to demonize, not because they are less Muslim, but because they are more human—too nuanced for the crude binaries of “us” versus “them.” Their success, whether in Albany’s legislative halls or leading one of the world’s most populous Muslim nations, lays bare the intellectual shallowness of prejudice. It reminds us that the struggle over narrative is not just about who speaks loudest but who lives truest to the pluralist ideals the modern world claims to cherish. And that, to the peddlers of fear, is the real threat.
