During our church building project, I was attending a conference in Lagos. One of those days, I needed to use the rest at the pastor’s lounge. I saw something rare in the restroom. It was so inspiring.
I called the person supervising the construction back at home, and I was doing all I could to describe what I saw. He could not get it because he had not seen it.
The moment I returned home, I explained what I saw and insisted that I wanted our restroom to be the same way. They implemented it, and it made a huge difference. No one would have to go to the restroom and start thinking of where to place their belongings.
Indeed, you cannot be better than the company you keep. One of the things about great kings is that they are willing to learn from other great kings.
Think about the Queen of Sheba coming all the way to visit King Solomon. Have you ever wondered about the things that she saw:
She saw the House he built:
> *“And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,” I Kings 10:4 NKJV*
She studied the way they served food.
She studied the protocol systems of his palace.
She studied the dressing of his servants.
> *“the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.” I Kings 10:5 NKJV*
She saw that his stewards were joyful in service:
> *“Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!” I Kings 10:8 NKJV*
It was certain she returned to her kingdom with things to implement and improve on.
Beloved, what company do you keep? Are you still learning? Are you still growing? Are you being challenged to get better? Are you stuck with the same old systems and mundane pride? Break the mould. Go and learn!
You can never be better than the company you keep. If you walk with the wise, you are also wise. If you keep company with fools, you are counted as one.
Assess your company!

The first time the word worship appears in Scripture, there is no music, no choir, no instrument.
It is Abraham.
“And Abraham said… Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship”
and the worship was a journey to Moriah, carrying Isaac.
This establishes the biblical frame for worship.
Worship, before it ever became sound, was posture.
Abraham worshipped by:
Obedience – he went where God pointed
Alignment – he agreed with God’s word even when it cost him
Surrender – he laid down what was most precious
Faith – he believed God beyond understanding
No song.
No atmosphere.
No encouragement.
Just posture.
Worship was not what Abraham sang; it was how he stood before God.
From that moment onward, Scripture teaches us that worship is first a stance, then a sound.
People stood in reverence.
They knelt in surrender.
They lifted hands in dependence.
They fell on their faces in awe.
Each posture preached before any melody followed.
This tells us something crucial:
God responds to alignment before expression.
You can sing loudly and still miss worship.
You can be silent and yet fully worshipping.
True worship is when the heart bows, the will yields, and the body agrees.
Before the song rises, let posture speak.
That is worship.
A good time to make this spread and trend again…….
Let’s go !
Jesus just has to be who He says He is. No one gives this joy that He gives.
We celebrate our king, JESUS !
I stood and watched in church some Sundays ago as some little children were marched to the front to give a presentation
And when they started speaking I just watched them in awe
These black babies had clean and crisp “oyibo” accent.
They spoke like Canadians
What was funny to me was that I know their parents oo
Some of their parents have “concentrated African accents”
The English language of some of their parents have been sat upon by the sounds of our land and cooked in the stew and soup of mama Africa
But to see their spawn speak nothing like them?
Just talking “spree spree”
The Holyspirit was sure to remind me of one word “environment”
To know that despite the language of their parents, the environment these young ones have been raised in has had tremendous impact of their tongue and the tongue of their own parents who birth them stood no chance
Dear child of God,
Your environment matters
What you surround yourself with matters
Your circle of friends matters a great deal
For this is the mystery behind “beholding”
Whatever you behold long enough, you become.
Selah!
Blessings!
Effective ministers of the gospel are not necessarily perfect beings, but they see themselves as vessels through whom God meets the needs of multitudes that are in the "valley of death"
No matter how enormous the challenge people are facing these vessels believe God can and will work through them to meet with people at the point of their needs or else the essence of the gospel and knowledge of God will be lost.
God yearns to pour his grace in times of need.
