1. I was a bit surprised by @dcsandbrook on the rest is history last week over the discussion of British accession to the then EEC. He claimed that then Prime Minister Edward Heath did not significantly debate the questions sovereignty during the accession or referendum.

19. I also feel a tad disappointed that Dr Sandbrook & @holland_tom missed an opportunity for major Anglo-French banter by not discussing the referendum which took place not in the UK but in France where in 1972 La Grande Nation graciously voted 68% in favour of British accession
