Sanger is a pro. Extremely well-sourced, fair and has a far deeper and more informed understanding of geopolitical complexities than Trump does. This is a perfect encapsulation of the tragic idiocy and crude stupidity of the Trump administration.
Here we have Trump accusing a reporter of treason. When will this crazy bullshit stop? Sanger tried to retort but seems to have been lost in the scrum. Other reporters need to step up, remind this elected official you can't accuse journalists of treason. Could put lives in danger
Trump to NYT's David Sanger: "I had a total military victory. But the fake news, guys like you, write incorrectly. You're a fake guy. We had a total military victory. I actually think it's sort of treasonous what you write. You should be ashamed of yourself. I actually think it's treason."
Pardon the language, but I couldn't agree more. Working journalists have every right to snap back at such behaviour, perhaps without the profanity just to keep it professional. But, I agree with the sentiment.
Steve Harness: “When is a reporter gonna snap back and say don’t you fucking talk to me that way? I’m a goddamned adult. I’m here working. You work for us, asshole. Go fuck yourself. Somebody, for the love of God, I will buy the Pulitzer for you if you will just tell this man how fucking dare you, do not talk to me that way”
