Bar preppers: Flash cards are great! Make sure your stack gets SMALLER over time tho, by creating prioritized piles (eg the stack you'll do daily, 2-3x/wk, weekly). If you come across a card you don't know, promote it to a higher priority stack. If you knew it, demote it.

The Twitter feed has me reflecting on the studies that show local murders can decrease childrens’ tested IQ by an entire std dev (?) for up to six months(?) afterwards. Acute Trauma affects performance. Makes sense that chronic trauma would too.
