@Allezamani Most of the technologies behind modern cars are based on rare earth minerals which are abundant in China. With China’s control of the rare earth supply chain, the cost of production and therefore the price of cars is significantly cheaper than most other countries.
@loladebayonle@Isaacsogo It’s not even about citations alone in his case but the quality of his papers and reputation of the periodicals. He has just one IET conference paper, and not a single IEEE paper. He wouldn’t even be considered for assistant professorship in most reputable Western universities.
@boye4christ2006 I just looked him up on Google Scholar. I don’t like disparaging people publicly but I am astounded that he’s a “full professor” with such an abysmal publication record.
@General_Somto Indeed, only China can “partner” with us (not help us) to solve the problem. We can come up with the strategies and ask China to supply the equipment. As the world stands today, China is like 100 years ahead of the rest of the world in industrial and manufacturing capabilities.
