From this reading, students who use these vouchers appear to be given the short end of the stick. Although I am curious on the research, students went from 50th percentile to 26th; is this in the school itself or overall? That could be misleading.

This is interesting, charter schools which appear to be mission oriented produce the best outcome when the focus is directed towards a smaller controlled environment. As they grow the results seem to stagnate. Then again a lot of factors play in to this.

Vouchers for schools provide options. IMO results should not outweigh opportunity. Yes results are similar, the opportunities are not. Students allowed to go to different schools are exposed to different things, opening more options they can take in life, let parents choose.

Schools need funding but the stress of affording your home is more important. Caping taxes to 2.5-3% instead of 5.5 will give plenty of relief. Schools should not be neglected and I think meeting in the middle could take away this tension

Differentiation is important yet difficult when there are plenty of students to accommodate. Although, this is the life of a teacher. Creativity and understanding is what I will focus on to ensure each students needs are met.
