@jaysebben@sweatystartup It’s not up to any one person to dictate "visceral anxiousness" of an individual. That's very subjective. In your eyes, employees inherently can’t care more about the work they do because they aren’t responsible for paying company bills and others people's job security?
@sweatystartup The influence of politics, for better or worse, extends to shaping business and legal policies. The real worthlessness arises when individuals engage in arguments over identity politics, using it as a rationale to align with a particular side or endorse specific policies.
@wanyeburkett How is antisocial behavior/disorder linked to an ideological “side”? I would think the composition of human behavior and culture is much too complex to blanket align with a certain side. Maybe I’m naive for this take but it’s seems V strange to make connections of this nature
@sweatystartup When a bloated company is doing mass layoffs they fire employees rendered “redundant” because they are not needed to effectively produce same financial results. This often has little correlation with effort and time spent at the office… rather the position they were hired for.
@YahavLitan@RohunJauhar Rohun’s tweet (and my reply) is about “focusing on passive income.” The fact that traders generate active income from passive income investments as a full time job with a higher level of sophistication makes them not actually “focusing on passive income”?… confusing
@pfitzer_jessica Me!! I masked to attempt to be a prototypical “masculine” type in my community growing up. Team sports, joking around in a status quo “boyish” way about other people. Just “going along to get along” for acceptance and security. This prevented bullying for my autistic quirks.
@RyanLaMountain Is this less scammy than most “on market” commercial real estate deals that’s are essentially “off market” (hard to find online) with opaque details. Are wonky marketing tactics shunned in residential because of the mostly non-professional resi buyer pool?
@realEstateTrent@grace_za I’m just curious @realEstateTrent have you have worked as an salaried administrator for a independent MF # owner/operator? If not how would you know that MF owner/operators in all submarkets actively manage their properties? Just seems like a weird blanket statement to defend
@realEstateTrent@grace_za Managing workers is not always active if the investment firm has loose governance and ambiguous roles and responsibilities. Get a solid administrator and they handle most of the business operations. seems to be the norm in many multifmaily submarkets with owner/operators.
@realEstateTrent@grace_za If you think managing property managers isn’t passive, then you clearly haven’t met many mid market multifamily landlords that make up an overwhelmingly large percentage of any metropolitan area.
@grace_za@realEstateTrent Most people who thinks they can use the handling off-hour emergencies as way to validate active management, often passively manage their properties in my experience. They just don’t want to pay for off hour maintenance.
@realEstateTrent Practically every mid market Multifamily owner/operator I’ve met treat their properties as passive, with the facade of active management. And their workers do vast majority of the active management…. Are you just referring to retail owners?
