@StacyRost Dan isn’t wholly to blame for this season but franchises serious about winning would have fired him a month and a half ago. At least LOOK like you expect more.
@BrockHuard Serious franchises would have fired their manager like a month and a half ago to provide some accountability for this, but you know ‘Dan the man’
@MarineLayerPod Why? Cool, we can prevent one less run per game, but we’ll still lose since they check out once the other teams get a to 3 runs. Losing 4-1 instead of 5-1 doesn’t make a difference…
This is now the third offseason in a row that we’ve repeated this cycle.
1. Public comments from the FO that they’re increasing spending
2. Make odd roster moves clearly opening salary space
3. Info leaks about the financial constraints being even more tight than previously expected
4. Have only the options to bargain shop or trade key pieces to fill roster
Repeat.
@Joe_Fann Too many average or bad players, and nobody great or elite. Same problem as last year and the first year.
Starting to think the playoff season was one of those, “scrappy underdog teams” that was good enough to stumble into the playoffs and then goalie got hot. 😬
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

@AaronLevine_ MSNBC and other left-leaning outlets are REALLY struggling to understand that a lot of people vote based on what affects them far more than what offends them.
@MarineLayerPod What a sad state for a team to be in that ownership is too cheap to do the VERY OBVIOUS option of just cutting him and eating the cost. Teams serious about winning aren’t afraid of this relatively small of a sunk cost.
