@bugsandfishes Pimpernel Smith! In 1943 Leslie Howard revisited his role as the Scarlet Pimpernel (a big hit in the mid-1930s). Instead of saving aristocrats from the guillotine, the updated version used his cover as an archaeologist to rescue dissidents from a Nazi concentration camp.

Looking back at history, you occasionally see an artefact that seems to have arrived decades early. One of my favourites: this teapot was designed in the 1870s.
