Everyone is discussing the Fitment Factor of 8th CPC.

But what about the Family Unit?

The 7th Pay Commission adopted a 3.0 family unit for calculating minimum pay Government Servant = 1.0 • Spouse = 0.8 • 1st Child = 0.6 • 2nd Child = 0.6 Total = 3.0 Dependent parents were not included.
The 8th Pay Commission is an opportunity to recognize this responsibility by revising the family unit from 3.0 to at least 4.6–5.0.
A realistic family unit will lead to a more realistic minimum wage.
