In ihrem Gastbeitrag in der @Zeit warnen die Co-Vorsitzenden der European Nuclear Study Group @ClaudMajor, James D. Davis und MSC Director of Research & Policy @TobiasBunde vor einer nuklearen Abschreckungslücke in Europa.

During the @MunSecConf I had the opportunity to join the @AJEnglish broadcast in which I gave some insights regarding peace negotiations and overall situation in Ukraine.
Many thanks @AJEnglish for raising such important issues.
Hervorragende Zusammenfassung unseres Berichtes!
I’m in Munich for the Security Conference.
Dozens of panels, speeches, and important conversations ahead.
And of course, lots of questions for the speakers - especially about Ukraine.
I’ll keep you posted.
🇪🇺☢️Mind the Deterrence Gap: Assessing Europe’s Nuclear Options.
As the @MunSecConf 2026 starts today, @HFayet, Research Fellow at Ifri's Security Studies Center, co-authored the latest report of the European Nuclear Study Group. Five policy options are discussed in European defense and security circles for assessing Europe's nuclear deterrence:
• Continued reliance on US extended nuclear deterrence
• Strengthening the role of British and French nuclear forces in European deterrence
• Developing a common European deterrent
• Pursuing new, independent national nuclear deterrents
• Investing in conventional deterrence without a nuclear component
This report is published by the European Nuclear Study Group (ENSG), which was established in 2024 as a joint initiative of the Munich Security Conference, the Centre for International Security at the Hertie School in Berlin, and the Institute of Political Science at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

The issue of #nuclear deterrence rightly occupies an important place at this year's Munich Security Conference. Important to raise the nuclear IQ across #NATO nations at a time when Russia continuously engages in irresponsible nuclear rhetoric & signalling.

Methinks a reading of Citizen United will put an end to such silly talk, Senator. By the way, your demonizing of a great American success story who is committed to an open society by resorting to inuendo is beneath your office.
There’s considerable evidence that George Soros and his network are funding the “No Kings” rallies.
That’s exactly why I’ve introduced the Stop FUNDERs Act.
It lets law enforcement prosecute those funding acts of political violence.
Mr. Speaker- under your leadership the House has failed to pass a budget. That is your job. All the rest of this is theater for which you will not be receiving a best actor award. Sit down with fhe Democrats and compromise. It’s called democracy.
The Democrat Government Shutdown is doing real harm to the American people. While Democrats continue to celebrate suffering, they demand $1.5 TRILLION in new partisan spending to end it.
Here’s what they want👇
• $200B for FREE health care for ILLEGAL ALIENS
• ENDING work requirements for able-bodied young men on Medicaid
• CUTTING $50B from rural hospitals
• RESTORING $500M for Leftist Media Outlets.
• Sending $5 billion OVERSEAS for “climate resilience,” “feminist organizing” & “LGBTQI+ Democracy Grants”
An UNSERIOUS proposal from UNSERIOUS people — that causes SERIOUS harm to the American people. Republicans will NOT let this happen.
We have seen it firsthand in D.C. and Memphis: when mayors, federal agents, and local police work together, violent offenders get arrested and citizens become safer.
Why would Chicago refuse that kind of help?
Because Illinois leaders hate @POTUS more than they love Chicago.
To my Democratic friends: If Obamacare is so swell, why do you have to pay people to use it?
The pandemic is over. These subsidies won’t fix your broken health care exchanges.
@GoncharenkoUa My condolences to all who knew and loved him! Slava Ukraini! And glory to all the fallen patriots who together with people like you, Oleksiy, continue to inspire freedom loving people everywhere! 🇺🇦

Elected officials have a duty to peacefully lead - NOT to justify, excuse, or condone violence.
Calling for “blood in the streets” and encouraging violence against ICE officers is dangerous and disgraceful.
Our goodness is the secret to our greatness and we must remember that.
No leader in American history has endured what President Trump has and remained so strong. Twice, his life was nearly taken. Twice, God spared him.
President Trump knows he was saved for a purpose: to SAVE AMERICA.
There is free and/or subsidized health care in almost every advanced industrial democracy and the costs are dramatically lower than in the US. When will you engage in a serious discussion of health.l care costs for Americans?
