@mikeryan@SNLinReview Agree completely. Horatian satire only works when dealing with laughable everyday, banal foibles. We have crossed a cultural line. These writers either don’t know that or don’t want to admit it, like much of the country.
@SNLinReview And the writing remains bad. The football bit was just a poor reboot of Twinkle and Stink. Mr. On Blast was a pale shadow of Mooney’s Bruce Chandling. Rhythm off. Sound problems. The toy commercial was the only novel and funny bit. Two failed weeks in a row.
@SNLinReview What a waste of talent. The writing was abysmal. Few genuine laughs. Most of the show tried to lumber on with simple commitment that Poehler and older cast mates did bring.
