One of the most important lessons in life is learning to pay attention to people's actions, not just the image they try to present.

Anyone can say the right words, appear charming, or create an impression of kindness. Sometimes people can hide their true intentions behind a pleasant personality. But over time, consistent behavior reveals a person's true character.

A genuinely kind person does not need to constantly prove they are good. Their actions naturally reflect compassion, honesty, and respect. But when someone repeatedly chooses cruelty, dishonesty, manipulation, or disrespect, those behaviors should not be ignored or excused.

It is important to understand that everyone can make mistakes. A single bad moment does not define an entire person. However, repeated patterns of harmful behavior reveal something deeper about someone's choices and values.

Do not allow someone's words to convince you to ignore what their actions have already shown you. Pay attention to consistency, accountability, and how they treat others when there is nothing to gain.

Trust what people repeatedly show you. Sometimes the truth is not hidden in what someone says about themselves, but in what they consistently do.

Protect your peace by seeing people clearly, not only through the version you hope they are.

A Prayer of Repentance & Forgiveness

Father God,

I come before You today with an honest and open heart, holding nothing back, making no excuses, and offering no justifications. I simply come as I am, with the full weight of my failings laid bare before You, trusting in the extraordinary mercy that You have never once withheld from a repentant heart.

I have sinned, Lord. In ways that are obvious and in ways that are subtle. In what I have done and in what I have left undone. In words spoken carelessly, in thoughts entertained too long, in moments where I chose my own way over Yours. I do not minimize any of it because I understand that every departure from Your ways is a departure from the life You designed me to live, and I want that life back!

So I repent fully, fervently, and without reservation! I turn away from every pattern, every habit, every attitude that has grieved Your Spirit and hindered my walk with You. I do not want to carry these things another day. Wash me clean, Lord! As Your Word promises, though my sins are like scarlet, make them white as snow. Let Your blood cover what my efforts never could!

And now I receive Your forgiveness not timidly, not with lingering guilt, but boldly and gratefully! For You are faithful and just to forgive, and I will not dishonor that promise by refusing to fully accept it. I am forgiven. I am clean. I am free!

Thank You, Father. Now help me walk worthy of that grace.

And God asks
“Can these bones live?”
Then breathes life into them.

“Dry bones come alive!” is a reminder that no situation is too hopeless,when life feels barren and dreams feel dead or our hearts feel empty. His spirit can breathe life into what feels lifeless.

What looks dead to us is never beyond his power. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead can vitalize our mortal bodies,renew passions and awaken dead dreams.
