I accidentally waved at a little girl in a grocery store parking lot because I thought she was waving at me.

Turns out… she was waving at someone behind me.

To avoid looking stupid, I awkwardly smiled and said,
“See you next week.”

Her mom laughed and replied,
“She’ll hold you to that now.”

I thought that would be the end of it.

But the next Saturday, the same little girl spotted me instantly and ran over yelling,
