If your opponent moves out the way you end flying foward for a bit until you can stop yourself and try attacking again. This problem is how we ended up with fights where one person waits for the other to hit them.

I decided to learn C and C++ as a fun little side thing in my free time. It's been really eye-opening to see how much js and have held my hand and hidden behind the scenes. I'm still pretty excited to see what I'll be able to build by the end of the year.

But the goal here isn't to ship it's to learn. I was looking for something minimal that didn't abstract away too much from me, so Qt, gtk, most of the more popular gui toolkits were out. After some digging, I found Dear ImGui and Nuklear, and I eventually settled on Nuklear.
