⚠️ Kallas warned: talks of surrendering Ukrainian territories are a trap set by Putin
The EU foreign affairs chief spoke firmly about territorial concessions to Ukraine in an interview with Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland.
According to Kaja Kallas, this is a typical Russian tactic that always works in three steps:
▪️ First, Moscow demands what it has never owned.
▪️ Then come the ultimatums and threats of force.
▪️ And in the end, voices in the West are found, ready to offer Russia exactly what it has never had.
💥 "In the end, the Russians get more than they ever dared to dream of. The discussion about territorial concessions is a trap, and we must not fall into it," Kallas emphasized.
Russia has not changed its goal: drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire. Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer. Zelensky will never do so. Meanwhile, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize, but I don't see these talks making any progress.

I have already arrived in Washington, tomorrow I am meeting with President Trump. Tomorrow we are also speaking with European leaders. I am grateful to @POTUS for the invitation. We all share a strong desire to end this war quickly and reliably. And peace must be lasting. Not like it was years ago, when Ukraine was forced to give up Crimea and part of our East—part of Donbas—and Putin simply used it as a springboard for a new attack. Or when Ukraine was given so called “security guarantees” in 1994, but they didn't work. Of course, Crimea should not have been given up then, just as Ukrainians did not give up Kyiv, Odesa, or Kharkiv after 2022. Ukrainians are fighting for their land, for their independence. Now, our soldiers have successes in Donetsk and Sumy regions. I am confident that we will defend Ukraine, effectively guarantee security, and that our people will always be grateful to President Trump, everyone in America, and every partner and ally for their support and invaluable assistance. Russia must end this war, which it itself started. And I hope that our joint strength with America, with our European friends, will force Russia into a real peace. Thank you!
I’m filing a formal request for information about the Trump Administration’s action and role in directing federal law enforcement and military personnel in a recent operation intended to intimidate those defending a fair electoral process.
First they illegally deport citizens. Then they unleash ICE to terrorize communities. Now they’ve got the National Guard in L.A. to silence protestors.
This ain’t about law and order.
This is what authoritarianism looks like.
Trump’s border czar is threatening to arrest me for speaking out.
Come and get me, tough guy.
I don't give a damn.
It won’t stop me from standing up for California.
